thats means its not approved. u cant file for i140 without labor approval..hence cannot file 485 also.

My wife is right now on H4 and having her EAD which will be expiring in another 2 months. She is not planning to work. Currently I am woking on H1B, soon I will be joing another employer on EAD. My question is it necessry for my wife to renew EAD even if she is not planning to use it. Once I swith on EAD what need to be done for my wife.

Hi,
My I-140 was approved from Nebraska service center, but my attorney sent my I-485 case to Texas. I came across few people here on IV who have experienced the same.
Did USCIS provide any information regarding this? If so could you provide the link?

Reuters talks to Pakistani tennis star Aisam ul-Haq, who made it to the men's doubles finals of the US Open this week about his immigration problems entering the US. He seems to maintain a positive attitude despite being regularly grilled by US immigration officials. hI ATTY I am working under an h1b visa right now as of 2011. But i had a previous petitioned by another employer way back 2006. There was an I-140 filed but it was denied and I never heard from my petitioner then. I do have the USCIS copy and case number. Can I look for another employer and atty that could reopen the case?? Please help me. Thanks

I work for company A which sponsored my L1B (my current visa status). Also, few years back company B sponsored my H1B which for some reason I did not utilize (did not even get it stamped) and hence company B cancelled it. Now my questions are -
1. Can L1-B be transferred to H1-B without going through a new visa application?
2. Can the cancelled H1-B be re-instated and utilized?
3. If another company C applies for my H1-B what are the chances of getting it looking at the current work visa regulations and prospective changes? Will my past petition of H1-B cause some issues with consulate?
4. My wife is on L2 and as EAD. Once I file for change of status will the EAD still be valid or it will automatically be void?
Please Help...

I am a July 19th filer and I have not received my receipts. I checked with my lawyer yesterday and they have not received either. Since my lawyer issued all the checks I have no idea whether my checks are cleared or not. So here is my question. How long will it take for the actual reciept after the check clearance.
