On the EAD application form, Q15 asks for the current Immigration Status.
What will be the immigration status of a person who entered US on H4 visa but started working later using EAD?
Since I-94 has H4, Is it OK to mention the immigration status as H4/AOS Pending ?

Today, I heard back from a senator and a congressman from New Jersey regarding the webfaxes that I had sent them. Here are a few things that I learnt
The associate in the Senator's office was not aware of this issue and the one in the congressman was only partially aware of it. If this is the situation of the associates who look after immigration with the lawmakers in NJ, where there are thousands of EB-GC aspirants, the situation might much worse in other states.
The associates in the lawmaker's office do take the effort to read through the faxes, thus making it effective to bring our issues to their attention.
Our WebFax application is working fine. Previously I never got replies to my web faxes. What might have helped is the fact that the web fax did have my complete contact information. This makes it more trustworthy in their eyes.
So I request all of you to send out WebFaxes to your lawmakers. It is free for you and takes only a couple of minutes. Once you have sent it, urge your friends also to do the same.
Stand up and be heard.

During the month of June, when the dates were announced in July Bulletin, that all the EB are CURRENT, we were prepared to apply. But my wife has some health issues and after the July2nd news, she left to India for Treatment. As per doctors now she can't travel till end of August. My questions are:
1) If I apply for my I-485, at what stage in I-485 can i add my wife as a dependant so she also gets her EAD and AP along with me?
2) Somewhere on the internet, I have seen that I can apply for my spouse's Green card 180 days after my Green card approval also as long as we were married before my I-485 was applied. Is this true? Can someone please confirm?
3) Curretnly my wife is on H-1B and she still has 5more years on it. Can I apply for her I-485 once the dates open up again?
Please advice as what are the best options?

As I understand , either there would be no bulletin revision(currently appearing impossible) or there would be a bulletin revision making some categories unavailable , in which case it doesnt matter even if your application has made it on July 2nd it will be returned. So why is the rush to get applications by mail/fedex/samedaydelivery/inpersondelivery/etc ?
Or is the rush to deliver only for those applicants with PDs in 2002-2004 who are hoping that their PD will make it in the new bulletin if it is not unavailable? I see no reason for the rush which seems to have increased after the rumor about the new bulletin on friday ...(although I personally asked my lawyer to send it on friday 6/29 and for which I have no confirmation if it was actually sent or not).

Experts,
I am planning to use AC21 and start a new job on EAD, although the reason I am telling my present employer is that I am going to home country and may or may notcome back. what happens if the employer revokes the H1B or can he ask uscis to stop all the immigration matters with me. I have finished 180 days hatch period ...:)
Any ideas please !

Nina Bernstein, one of the country's best immigration reporters, has a front page story in this morning's Times regarding 30 survivors of the January Haiti earthquake who were airlifted by Marines to the United States and are now sitting in detentions centers in Florida. Thanks - I took this walking along a railroad bed that is no longer in use. I must have chased 10 of these things around before I finally got this one that would hold still long enough to get a descent shot.
